Some inspiration from a great Speaker and Motivator

I got this email today from a friend and I though it was too good to keep to myself…

“Hi Jane and everyone,

A great motivational speaker passed away this week, Zig Ziglar.  My dad would always throw his books at me in college and beyond.  Only now do I realize what truths lie in these simple but profound quotes.  I think I didn’t read the books in the beginning b/c his name was so funny to me…

Hope you have a great day, believe in yourselves”!

Some of his memorable quotes:

“Remember that failure is an event, not a person.”

“You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.”

“People often say motivation doesn’t last. Neither does bathing—that’s why we recommend it daily.”

“There has never been a statue erected to honor a critic.”

“People don’t buy for logical reasons. They buy for emotional reasons.”

“Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes.”

“If you go looking for a friend, you’re going to find they’re scarce. If you go out to be a friend, you’ll find them everywhere.”

“A goal properly set is halfway reached.”

“Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.”

“If you can dream it, you can achieve it.”

Zig Ziglar died yesterday at the age of 88. I also LOVE this quote from his brother, Judge Ziglar – who named these boys anyway?

“Skinny salesmen have skinny kids.”

So what do you think? Which quote really speaks to you? I think my favorite is #3. Let me know your favorite in the comments below!
